About RPM

RPM (Rapid Prompting Method) developed by Soma Mukhopadhyay,  is a method of teaching that has proven extremely successful for neurodivergent individuals who have limited or unreliable speech abilities.

While this approach is primarily used with autistic students, it is suitable for any student who lacks a reliable means of communication, regardless of diagnosis.

How is RPM unique?

RPM isn’t just a spelling or communication method, it is a holistic teaching method that adapts to each student's individual motor readiness and sensory profile. It takes into consideration and focuses on balancing multiple channels of learning, meaning that spelling and communication are a byproduct of this teaching along with the development of many other life skills.

  • Testimonials

“My 15 year old son started RPM lessons with Sarah a year ago. It has changed our lives! Sarah personalises each lesson for Zach and has taught him how to communicate in sentences using the spelling board. It has opened up a whole new way for us to understand Zach. Melboure is so lucky to have such an experienced RPM teacher.”

  • Testimonials

“Sarah, thank you for your stewardship throughout our RPM journey, this therapy is unlocking new opportunities to better understand AJ and Tayla and ultimately, through your RPM work,  giving them a voice. This is so powerful, and we hope more families can experience the gift of understanding their children on a whole new level. Sarah, you have certainly made AJ and Tayla’s world so much bigger.  Words will never be enough to capture our gratitude, and incidentally, it’s words that have made all the difference”
